J.T.Briggs first started writing while a
stay-at-home mom raising her four young children. She penned poems and
personal anecdotes for family and friends, mostly as special gifts based on
life’s tender and endearing moments. This led to completing a writing course
for children’s books; then later, onto some regional publication, corporate
publication, and submissions to various magazines/organizations etc.
But non-fiction
has always been her first love; to write of real life circumstances,
especially the lighter side of things. Those were the times when her desire
to laugh would bring forth her true personality, and her comical side would
then surface.
J.T. Briggs is
from a large family where it was easy to hone her creative aptitude simply
by observing the wide variety of personalities and interaction between
siblings. She wouldn’t have had it any other way, in that it was life’s best
classroom and the most well rounded way to sharpen and achieve the skills
necessary for the real world.
“We always had
a good time. There wasn’t a lot of money in our home, but more than enough
love and laughter to see us through just about anything.” To this day her
family has been her biggest fans and they continue to encourage her to keep
turning out the stories.
